Plans - Thursday January 01, 2015
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Lately, I have been thinking about my plans and dreams for the future. It seems like the Lord has stirred up so many "noble plans" in me, that it's hard to keep track of them all.
I find myself making plans for my kiddos, their school, their character, and fun times. I find myself dreaming about our Rock Church locations and how we can involve the community and make them more aware of the Gospel. I find myself planning and designing our Salt Lake City location remodel in hopes of better attracting and connecting people in relationship. I have "visions" for The Rock Music and the possibility of "music with a message" in our state and in the world. I even have made plans concerning my house, my garden and the places therein where I feel most peaceful.
I have so many plans that on a recent prayer walk, I asked God to "slow my mind down." In that moment, God was kind to reveal His plans for me. In all of my planning, I need to be reminded that God has big plans for me-good plans!
Christian, in all of your planning, in all of your dreaming, remember that God has thought of you. In fact, He is thinking of you right now and in this moment. He is planning good things for you!
What hope we have!
