Nothing Stops God's Plan - 3 - Tuesday January 26, 2016
Ruth went out to gather grain behind the harvesters and as it happened, she found herself working in a field that belonged to Boaz, the relative of her father-in-law Elimelech. Ruth 2:3 NLT
I'm not sure Ruth realized the significance of her decision to go in one field or another. I would imagine that when Ruth got up that morning, she listened to Naomi's advice and her instruction. I believe that Ruth was praying as she headed out and made these ordinary choices in life. She was a foreigner in a foreign land, praying to God.

Sometimes you're a foreigner in a foreign land. You're praying, and you're asking God to help you. As Ruth was heading out, she was walking right into her destiny. No one realized all that God had in store for this young, obscure, widowed Moabite woman. God was writing a story about her – and God's doing the same for you! Isn't it glorious to know that our times are in His hands, and to know that God is ordering the events of this universe?

I look at where I am today. I look at who I was before I became a believer. That day that I yielded my heart and my needs and surrendered my will to God, do you think I knew that 30 years later this would be my life?

I'm so thankful for our church and many churches that are about the gospel. I'm so thankful that we have a heart for the world. But I'm also quite confident of this: nothing is going to stop God's will from being accomplished in this world – with or without my failures and my successes.

God will walk you into the field of His choice. Even if you walk into the wrong field, He will provide you a back exit to get you into the right field. God's not done just because you make a wrong choice.
