Do You Lead a Double Life? - Saturday February 06, 2016
"Yes, I know," Boaz replied, "But I also know about everything you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband. I have heard how you left your father and mother and your own land to live here among complete strangers." Ruth 2:11 NLT
Ruth's private life spoke volumes in the public square. Ruth's life exhibited admirable qualities. She was a hardworking, loving, kind, loyal, and brave woman. The qualities gained for her a good reputation because she displayed them consistently in all the areas of her life.

These qualities that Ruth lived in her private life were just shouting throughout her world. Wherever Ruth went, or whatever she did, her character remained the same. All that Ruth was willing to do for God and her mother-in-law make an incredible story. Ruth exhibited a life of immeasurable loyalty and commitment to God and Naomi. Ruth's life was bleak and at best hard, yet this simple Moabite woman speaks volumes down through the ages, to anyone fortunate enough to read the story.

Your life right now is being lived out on the big screen. God is your audience. I pray that you are not a "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." I pray that you don't live two different lives. The life you show in public should be the life that you live in the private of your world. God sees. Everyone will see.

Ruth was a woman with a good reputation. A good reputation comes by living out positive qualities you believe in, no matter what group of people or surroundings you find yourself in. Are you acting like two different people depending on your surroundings? If so, you'll never be a hero for God.
