It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. Ephesians 1:11-12 TM
Today is perhaps just a mundane day for you. It may be cold and gray where you live. You may not have anything special to look forward to. But the above verses transform what could be average into something extraordinary.

Before you even opened your eyes this morning, God had plans for you for this day; plans to show you new things about His character; plans for opportunities for you to share your faith with someone you encounter; plans to use you to be a blessing to others; plans to grow you to be a little more like Him; plans to surprise you with reminders of His love.

In He Still Moves Stones, Max Lucado states: "There are two ways to view life-those who protect it or those who pursue it. The wisest are not the ones with the most years in their lives, but the most life in their years."

Pursue life today! Start your morning by intentionally asking God to make you aware of His presence and His plan for you. Notice the faithful ways that He meets your needs and the beauty of His creation. Take time to be thankful. Watch for opportunities to make a difference in someone's life. Do your work wholeheartedly with the goal of pleasing your Father in heaven.

These next twenty-four hours are a gift to you. Keep your eyes and heart wide open to experience all that God has in store.
