My Life Rocks! - Tuesday July 14, 2015
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 ESV
How do we know the Bible is true? The second evidence is that the Bible changes lives. If the Bible is the inspired Word of God, we would expect it to have incredible life- changing abilities. Do you see examples of this in your life? In the lives of the Christians in your church? In the stories of "famous" Christians?

I will grant you that this is subjective. But my life has been fundamentally changed by God through this book. I enjoy my kids, my house is a home of peace because of this book. My wife and I enjoy our marriage and an incredible physical relationship, in spite of my coworkers' and other high school classmates' warnings. I would guess, frankly, I have a better physical relationship with my wife than all of them. Our finances are radically different because we follow this book. We aren't bankrupt, living paycheck to paycheck. My friendships are deeper; my life is more fulfilling because God is working through this book to change my life. My life looks starkly different because this book has changed my life! Krista and I are not unique-it is God working through His Word. Honestly, we have big trials and difficulties, big ones in the Whitney house. But, fundamentally, my life rocks because of God's Word!

If the Bible is true, we would expect it to change lives, and I see it all around, in my life, in my family, with my friends at church, and in powerful biographies.

Are you letting the Bible change your life?
