Undercover Creator - Sunday August 24, 2014
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death-even death on a cross. Philippians 2:6-8 NIV
Since Jesus is God, We should strive to become like Jesus. We should imitate Him, yield to Him, follow Him!

In the show "Undercover Boss," the CEO of a company poses as a regular guy on the job. He sees what things are really like for the employees, finds out what it's like to do their job, and hears what the average employees really think of him.

Jesus is like that, only He didn't hide that He was "the boss." He came to this planet that He created, and we got to rub shoulders with the "Undercover Creator" as we were on this planet. But He wasn't shy about telling people who He was.

We need to learn from Him and do what He did when He was on this planet. It's His planet, His universe, and He lived here. How should our lives be different because He came to this planet?

"For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers" (Romans 8:29 NIV).

"Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator" (Colossians 3:9-10 NIV).

Our goal is to be conformed to the likeness of Jesus!
