By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:3 NIV
Every five years or so I like teaching a five-week "God in Creation" series. One of my favorite creation verses is Psalm 19:1 "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."

It says in Genesis 1:1 that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (NIV). Could the Bible be right and the earth be young? I've got a theory on that: I believe God created the heavens and the earth about 6000 years ago, and then about 4400 years ago He deluged this planet with water That event changed everything!

If we can't be confident in the beginning of the Bible, how can you be sure of "the end"? Jesus told us we could trust Moses-and He also told us He is coming back! I believe them both, and so can you.

We serve an amazing Creator! He is all-powerful, awesome, trustworthy and He cares for you!

Just looking at the creation and observing what God has made somehow gives glory to God. There is an inaudible voice declaring, proclaiming, communicating, shouting, and explaining to us that God is awesome! He is glorious! This universe didn't just "happen." God created it!

We need to spend time learning, observing and seeking the truth found in the creation. Our reality should be this: God created it all. As we observe His handiwork, our awe of God will grow and we will glorify Him with our lips. Today, may we see and declare the glory of God as we observe all He has made.
